France vs Morocco Half-Time: Defences Hold Firm in Goalless First Half
The ongoing World Cup quarter-final between France and Morocco has remained highly competitive in the first half, with both teams playing at a high intensity to gain control of possession. Interestingly, neither side has managed to score so far, as the defences at both ends remained solid throughout the first half.
Before the start of the game, fans were rooting for France to dominate the field, however, strong Moroccan defending has not allowed them to play with freedom. They got the best chance to get a lead on the board when Kylian Mbappe was awarded a penalty, but he failed to take advantage of that, courtesy of a fine save by Yassine Bounou.
At the end of the first half, both teams remained deadlocked at 0-0, with France looking a bit out of touch from their usual attacking style. They will now try to come up with a renewed plan to score in the second half, but breaking the strong Moroccan defence won’t be an easy job for them.
