FIFA World Cup 2026 Opening Ceremony in USA Set for a Grand Show at SoFi Stadium
The United States will finally have its own welcome event for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Friday night, with SoFi Stadium hosting the opening ceremony before the thrilling clash between USA vs Paraguay.
Mexico City kicked off the celebrations first, then Toronto had its turn, and now Los Angeles brings it all together to complete the opening events across the three host countries. This is certainly a big moment for the USA, possibly their biggest home summer since 1994.
As per the reports, the ceremony is set to start at 5 AM PKT, while the game between USA vs Paraguay will begin at 6 AM PKT.
The opening ceremony will be staged at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, the newest ground being used for the tournament this summer.
Katy Perry will lead the performances in her home state, while Future, Tyla, Blackpink’s Lisa, Rema, and Anitta will also accompany her for the grand football carnival. Together, they’ll help shape the sound of FIFA World Cup 2026 for fans around the world, putting on a lively show that matches the size, goals, and cultural reach of the tournament.
As for the top officials, US President Donald Trump is not expected to attend. Instead, Marco Rubio, Sean Duffy, and Markwayne Mullin are likely to represent the administration. The focus, though, will stay on the players, the event, and the first big step of America’s World Cup journey.
