FIFA Reveals Official Team of the Tournament for the 2026 World Cup

FIFA has announced its official Team of the Tournament for the 2026 World Cup after the competition came to an end. Spain, who lifted the trophy, have the most players in the XI with three selections.

The team follows a 4-3-3 formation and includes players from seven different countries. It highlights the footballers who stood out during the tournament that generated record viewership numbers.

Spain have three players in the team that demonstrates FIFA’s best XI selection. Defenders Marc Cucurella and Pedro Porro made the cut, along with midfielder Rodri, who played an important part in their title-winning campaign.

Talking about Argentines, Lionel Messi was selected in attack after another impressive World Cup, while defender Lisandro Martinez also earned a place in the team.

France also have three players in the XI, with Kylian Mbappe, Michael Olise and centre-back Dayot Upamecano making the cut. England midfielder Jude Bellingham was also included after another strong tournament.

Norway striker Erling Haaland leads the attack after scoring regularly throughout the competition. Besides him, Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha completes the FIFA XI following a series of impressive performances throughout the tournament.
