World Cup Hero: Sahibzada Farhan Nominated ICC Player of the Month After Historic Century Double

DUBAI: The ICC has announced the nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month award for February 2026. In this list, Pakistan's opener Sahibzada Farhan, England's all-rounder Will Jacks, and USA's pacer Shadley van Schalkwyk feature. These players deliver outstanding performances in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Farhan was the highest run-scorer of ICC T20 World Cup 2026. He scored 383 runs at a strike rate of 160.25 and average of 76.60. The right-handed batter became the first player to hit two centuries in a single edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, scoring hundreds against Namibia and Sri Lanka. His contributions helped Pakistan reach the Super 8 stage, narrowly missing out on a semi-final spot.

Jacks played a key role in England’s campaign, scoring 194 runs at a strike rate of 173.21 while taking 11 wickets at an economy rate just above eight. He received four Player of the Match awards, the most in the tournament, including vital performances in the Super 8 stage against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

Van Schalkwyk also impressed with the ball for the USA. He claimed 13 wickets across the tournament. The pacer recorded figures of 4/25 against both India and Pakistan. He maintained an economy rate of 7.76 and emerged as one of the leading wicket-takers.
