England Women produced one of the most authoritative performances in recent history, beating South Africa with its small total of 69 runs in no time at all. England, in only 14.1 overs, sailed to a 10-wicket win, leaving South Africa no chance of a comeback.

It became a one-sided match, as South Africa’s batting collapsed under the weight of a sound England bowling attack. Linsey Smith had already broken through the South African top order, and the chase was then wrapped up with a strong and controlled finish.

Tammy Beaumont and Amy Jones ensured a quick victory. Both of them were playing with confidence, breaking the boundaries and turning the strike effectively around.

Beaumont remained not out on 21 out of 35 balls, and Jones ended with 40 out of 50 balls and steered England to an easy victory with 215 balls to spare.

The bowlers of England, led by Smith's 3/7, had previously dominated South Africa in bowling, and the batters were no exception in ensuring a perfect performance. The whole team earned a sensational win that will be remembered.

This 10-wicket victory showcases England's strength across all departments, and it is clear that they are well-equipped to meet the challenges that await them in the tournament.
