England Beat South Africa to Reach Women's T20 World Cup Final

England booked their place in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 final with a comfortable win over South Africa.

Chasing a challenging target of 170, South Africa finished on 129/8 from their 20 overs. Earlier, England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt led the way with an excellent half-century that helped her side post a strong total.

In the first innings, England struggled early, as they lost both openers for just 20 runs. Marizanne Kapp dismissed Amy Jones for two, while Shabnim Ismail sent Danni Wyatt-Hodge back for 12.

After the early setbacks, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight steadied the innings with a superb 133-run partnership for the third wicket. Their stand helped England recover from a difficult start and put them in a strong position.

Sciver-Brunt played a superb knock of 75, while Knight also supported her well with 58 off 47 deliveries, hitting six fours and a six.

Both batters were then dismissed in quick succession in the 19th over, but England still finished their innings strongly.

In reply, South Africa surrendered badly in front of England, as none of their batters managed to put up any fight in the second innings. As a result, they lost the match by 40 runs, sending England through to the Women's T20 World Cup final, where they will face Australia.
