Salt, Curran Batting Brilliance Takes England to 201 in First Innings
England have posted a strong total of 201 against India in the first innings of the 3rd T20I match. Phil Salt remained the most notable batter, as he scored a brilliant 70 up the order to set a batting tempo for the home side.
England started the match on a high note, as their top order batters played furiously in the Powerplay to deflate the Indian attack. Both Jos Buttler and Phil Salt played well, showcasing why they are considered the best T20 batters for England.
After Buttler’s dismissal, Phil Salt kept playing on in a strong fashion, as the middle order faced a little collapse. He scored 70 off just 44 balls, giving England a solid platform to march towards the big total.
Sam Curran then played a fine cameo towards the end of the innings to put further pressure on India. Due to his timely 41 runs, England managed to score 201 at the end of the first innings.
The home side will now look to defend this total in the second innings, as they have the bowling attack that can pick quick wickets to derail the batting plans of India.
