LONDON: England defeated New Zealand by 115 runs at Lord's on Sunday to secure a 1-0 lead in the three-match series, with the hosts recovering from a difficult start to claim victory in a low-scoring contest.

The result ensured Eng won the 1st test against NZ in which neither batting lineup managed to dominate for long periods. England's bowlers proved decisive across both innings, restricting New Zealand to 113 and 138 after the visitors had initially gained the upper hand with the ball.

Pace Attack Seals Victory
