England Claim Historic Victory After Thumping Croatia 7-0 in Nations League
England produced a breathtaking performance in the latest UEFA Nations League clash, sweeping aside Croatia 7-0 in a completely one-sided contest. The Three Lions were in control from the opening minutes and delivered one of their most emphatic victories in recent international football, scoring four times before half-time and adding three more after the interval.
The match began at a frantic pace, with England immediately putting Croatia under pressure. Harry Kane opened the scoring in the 8th minute, finishing clinically after being played through by Jude Bellingham. The early goal set the tone for an evening in which England's attacking movement repeatedly caused problems for the Croatian defence.
England then doubled their advantage in the 21st minute with a combined attacking effort. Anthony Gordon created the opportunity with an excellent piece of play involving Bukayo Saka's cross, allowing Jude Bellingham to finish from close range.
The pressure continued and Anthony Gordon made it 3-0 in the 39th minute. Jarell Quansah supplied a quality cross from the right, and Gordon finished with a first-time header.
England then delivered another blow immediately before the break. In the 45th minute, Bukayo Saka scored the fourth, with Bellingham providing the assist. Due to this, England went into half-time with a commanding 4-0 lead, having completely dominated the first half.
The second half brought no change in the pattern of the match. England continued attacking, and Kane scored his second goal in the 53rd minute to make it 5-0. With this strike, the England captain also extended his international tally to 89 goals.
Croatia's misery then deepened in the 68th minute, when Saka scored his second of the night. A defensive mistake allowed England to capitalize, with Kane involved in the build-up. At 6-0, the result was already beyond doubt, but England continued to play with intensity.
With the match approaching its conclusion, England added one final goal. Morgan Rogers made it 7-0 in the 87th minute, racing onto a through ball from Bellingham before calmly finishing into the corner.
With this result, England strengthened their position in Group C of the ongoing tournament. They moved to six points from three matches, behind Spain on nine points, while Croatia remained on three points. More importantly, the performance gave Thomas Tuchel’s side considerable momentum, showing their ability to dominate an experienced opponent from the opening whistle until the final stages.
