Harry Brook and Phil Salt Power England to Nine-Wicket Win Over India

England won the match by nine wickets with 37 balls remaining, chasing India’s target of 159 in only 13.5 overs at the County Ground in Bristol.

Harry Brook played the leading role in England’s comfortable win. The captain remained unbeaten on 79 from just 35 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes. Brook attacked India’s bowlers from the start and reached his half-century in only 21 balls.

Phil Salt also played an important innings, staying unbeaten on 59 from 42 balls. He struck nine fours and one six while helping England maintain control throughout the chase.

England lost Jos Buttler early for eight when Arshdeep Singh took the only wicket of the innings. However, the dismissal did not slow England down. Salt and Brook built a strong, unbeaten partnership and kept the scoring rate high.

England reached 62/1 during the powerplay and crossed 100 runs in the ninth over. Brook and Salt then continued to find boundaries regularly, putting India under pressure.

India had posted 158/7 in their 20 overs after Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 80. However, their bowling attack could not stop England’s aggressive batting lineup.

Arshdeep Singh finished with 1/41, while Prasidh Krishna, Prince Yadav, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Shivam Dube went wicketless.

The England vs India T20 result was a one-sided finish, with Brook and Salt ensuring England completed the chase with more than six overs remaining.
