India won the toss and elected to bat first against England in the second T20I of the five-match series at Old Trafford, Manchester. 

Indian captain Shreyas Iyer chose to set a target rather than chase, mirroring India's approach from the rain-abandoned opening fixture in Durham. 

English skipper Harry Brook stated at the toss that he would have also preferred to bat first given the Manchester conditions, but his bowling unit is eager to make use of early swing under the clouds.
