FIFA World Cup Deals Fuel $51M David Beckham Commercial Dividend Payout

FIFA World Cup Deals Fuel $51M David Beckham Commercial Dividend Payout

David Beckham has received around $51 million from his commercial businesses after a year in which his brand operation recorded its highest revenue and pre-tax profit to date.

The David Beckham commercial dividend payout followed a $61.6m special dividend issued by DRJB Holdings this year. Beckham owns 45% of the company through Footwork Productions after selling a 55% stake to Authentic Brands Group for £200m in 2022.

DRJB Holdings generated $110.5m in revenue during the year, compared with $92.3m in 2024. Pre-tax profit rose to $65.7m, representing a 46% increase from the previous year.

The financial performance came during a period of increased commercial activity around the 2026 Fifa World Cup. Beckham appeared in roughly 12 campaigns connected with the tournament, including advertising work for Lenovo, McDonald's, Bank of America, Verizon and Lay's.

The former England captain also added several deals outside the tournament's advertising campaigns. He became a global sports ambassador for Bank of America under a multi-year agreement and launched a new menswear collection with Hugo Boss.

His other recent projects include an eyewear range with Safilo and a limited-edition Adidas Predator football boot. Beckham also agreed a new deal for Beckham & Friends Live, a Paramount+ programme linked to the UEFA Champions League.

His production company, Studio 99, forms another part of DRJB Holdings. It produced the four-part Netflix documentary Beckham, released in 2023, and was also behind Victoria Beckham's Netflix documentary released last year.

DRJB Holdings is divided between DB Ventures, Seven Global and Studio 99. DB Ventures handles much of Beckham's commercial partnerships, while Seven Global includes licensing arrangements with brands such as Adidas.

Beckham has also invested outside the holding company. He co-founded supplement business IM8 in 2024 and has an investment in honey-based fruit snack company BeeUp.

Corey Salter, Authentic Brands' chief executive of entertainment, said Beckham was “one of the most powerful global brands in sport, lifestyle, entertainment and much more”.

Salter added: “What these results show is that behind the Beckham brand is a strong and highly effective team within Authentic, set up with the financial discipline and strong fundamentals to continue to grow profitably through 2026 and beyond.”
