The Caribbean Premier League has confirmed the complete CPL 2026 schedule, with the tournament set to run from August 7 to September 20 across six Caribbean venues. The upcoming season will feature 39 matches and, for the first time in the league’s history, seven competing franchises.
Defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders will return alongside Guyana Amazon Warriors, Barbados Royals, Saint Lucia Kings, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, Antigua & Barbuda Falcons and Jamaica Kingsmen in the expanded competition.
One of the major additions for the 2026 season is the inclusion of St Vincent and the Grenadines as an official host. The tournament will open at the Arnos Vale Stadium, marking the first time CPL matches will be played at the venue.
The opening fixture on August 7 will see Jamaica Kingsmen face Antigua & Barbuda Falcons, while Trinbago Knight Riders begin their title defence against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots a day later.
League organisers also confirmed that Barbados will stage the playoff phase and final for the first time. The move is expected to bring a new setting to the tournament’s closing week, with the Eliminator, Qualifier matches and final all scheduled in Barbados.
CPL chief executive Pete Russell said the tournament’s expansion reflects the league’s broader plans to grow cricket across the Caribbean.
“With an expanded tournament in 2026, we are delighted to be bringing CPL cricket to St Vincent & the Grenadines for the first time," Russell said.
"We are equally excited about hosting finals week in Barbados, where we have ambitious plans to deliver the biggest and most memorable finale in the tournament’s 14-year history. Each year, our goal is to raise the bar, and I am more confident than ever that CPL 2026 will be our best season yet," he added.
Trinbago Knight Riders head into the new season as defending champions after defeating Guyana Amazon Warriors in last year’s final to secure their fourth CPL title. Their group-stage campaign includes matches against Saint Lucia Kings, Barbados Royals, Jamaica Kingsmen and Antigua & Barbuda Falcons during the Trinidad leg of the tournament.
Guyana Amazon Warriors will once again be among the leading contenders after another strong campaign in CPL 2025. Barbados Royals and Saint Lucia Kings are also expected to challenge after retaining the core of their squads ahead of the new season.
Under the expanded format, all seven teams will compete across the league stage before the tournament moves into the playoffs. The top sides will progress to the Eliminator and Qualifier rounds in Barbados.
The playoffs begin on September 16 with the Eliminator, followed by Qualifier 1 on September 17 and Qualifier 2 on September 18. The final is scheduled for September 20.
