Oval Invincibles were ruthless at The Oval, targeting and dismissing London Spirit with a clinical performance that afforded them a positional gate-pass to the final of The Hundred. They won the match by 6 wickets and with 22 balls remaining, which confirmed why the Invincibles have been the strongest side of the tournament.

Set a target of 153, the chase got off to a shaky start as Tawanda Muyeye fell first ball. But Jordan Cox and Will Jacks quickly shifted momentum. Cox cracked 47 from 27 balls while Jacks blazed 45, tearing into the Spirit’s attack with crisp boundaries and effortless sixes. Their position shook the bowlers, and the Spirit had little chance of a revival. Steadfast Curran helped in with a brief but incendiary cameo, but it was Donovan Ferreira with a winning mindset who finished in fitting fashion, smashing 24 runs in just 9 deliveries.

Earlier, London Spirit had promised more when Jamie Smith opened with two boundaries. But regular wickets hurt their flow. Nathan Sowter’s control and Tom Curran’s accuracy tightened the screws, while Overton and Higgins added late fireworks to push the total to 152 for 7. It proved far too little against an Invincibles batting order full of firepower.

The result leaves Invincibles well ahead on net run rate, making them favourites heading into the summit clash. Fans eager to catch every ball of the final showdown can tune in live on tapmad, the home of top cricket action.
