CPL 2026 Points Table Takes Shape After Thrilling Opening Games
The Barbados Royals have moved to the top of the Caribbean Premier League points table after nine completed matches in the 2026 season, with four points from two victories. Their unbeaten start has given them an early advantage as the tournament moves deeper into the league stage.
Jamaica Kingsmen sit second with four points from five matches. They have won two games but suffered three defeats, leaving them level on points with the Royals but behind on net run rate. St Lucia Kings are third, also on four points, having played four matches with two wins and two losses.
Barbados Royals Set the Early Pace
The current CPL 2026 standings show a clear split beginning to form. Guyana Amazon Warriors are fourth with two points from their only completed match, while Trinbago Knight Riders, Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and SKN Patriots are also on two points.
Guyana have played the fewest completed matches among the seven teams, which gives them plenty of room to climb. Their opening game produced an emphatic six-wicket win over Jamaica Kingsmen after they chased down 118 with 35 balls remaining. That result also left Guyana with a strong net run rate of +2.479.
The Amazon Warriors are now involved in another important contest against St Lucia Kings. St Lucia posted 151 for seven from their 20 overs, while Guyana reached 157 for three in 18.1 overs in the latest score update. The result of that match will have a direct impact on the next CPL 2026 standings update.
Jamaica have already played five games, the most of any side so far. Their campaign has been uneven, but a 51-run win over SKN Patriots in their latest completed match lifted them to four points. They had earlier beaten Trinbago Knight Riders by five wickets, showing the batting strength that can still keep them in the top-four fight.
Barbados, meanwhile, have made the most of their limited opportunities. Their five-run victory over Jamaica was followed by a nine-run win against St Lucia, giving them a perfect two-from-two record.
Trinbago, Antigua and Barbuda and SKN Patriots all have two points, but each has already experienced setbacks. The standings remain tight enough for the order to change quickly once the teams play more matches.
The next fixtures could be decisive. Antigua and Barbuda Falcons face SKN Patriots next, followed by St Lucia against Jamaica. Every result now carries extra weight as the battle for the playoff places starts taking shape.
