The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) recently announced that students and cricket academy trainees will be allowed free entry for the men’s home Test series against Pakistan, which will take place from May 8 to 20.
The board said this special opportunity has been given so that young cricket fans can watch the matches live from the stands and galleries.
The BCB also said that school and college students will need to wear their uniforms and bring valid ID cards to get this chance. This will allow them to watch the Bangladesh vs Pakistan test series from the designated stands and galleries.
"On the occasion of the upcoming Bangladesh vs Pakistan Test Series, a special opportunity has been introduced to encourage young cricket enthusiasts to experience the ultimate form of the game from the stands and galleries," said the BCB social media statement.
"Students from schools and educational institutions, wearing their respective uniforms and carrying valid ID cards, will be granted free entry to designated stands/galleries," added the statement.
The BCB also added that this privilege will also be given to academy trainees under 15 years old from private cricket setups. Just like students, they will have to wear their official academy kit to get free access.
"This privilege also applies to trainees under the age of 15 who are enrolled in private cricket academies. These trainees must wear their official academy kits to receive complimentary access to the stadiums," said the BCB social media statement.
For those who may not know, this two-match series between Bangladesh vs Pakistan is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 cycle. The first test will be played at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium from May 8 to 12, while the second match will shift to Sylhet and run from May 16 to 20.
It is going to be a fascinating series because both teams are looking strong on paper. The Tigers are slightly favorites to win the series because of the home advantage. The green shirts understand this factor quite well, which is why they are heading into this series with a star-studded lineup.
