Bayern Munich is reportedly preparing a major offer for Gabriel Martinelli, as the Bundesliga giants eye a summer arrival to bolster their attack.

According to citing “BILD reporter Christian Falk”, Bayern have placed Martinelli on a shortlist that also includes Liverpool’s Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo, Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, and Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens. The report suggests Arsenal are open to selling the Brazilian winger, currently under contract until 2027, with a valuation of over £50 million.

After moving to Arsenal in 2019 (having started out at Ituano), Martinelli has recorded 225 games in the Arsenal jersey, netting 51 goals and recording 29 assists. He consistently features in Mikel Arteta’s plans, though with the club looking to trim its wage bill, the 24-year-old could become a prime candidate to move.

Sources at Bayern describe Martinelli as a “star forward” who ticks all the boxes for their attacking rebuild. While no official bid has been made, the German club is reportedly bringing the transfer offer together this summer.

Gabriel Martinelli has become the subject of attraction in the transfer market courtesy of his good form and valuation, which has seen Bayern Munich enter the fray as credible adversaries. Should Arsenal decide to sell, the upcoming transfer window may feature a blockbuster transfer that will alter the balance of the attack of the pair of clubs.

Recent Transfer News:

  • Arsenal are considering offers for Martinelli as part of a broader summer shake-up that could also involve Zinchenko and Fabio Vieira

  • Bayern continues to chase Nico Williams, but Martinelli could emerge as a viable alternative, particularly if Williams moves to Barcelona.

  • Arsenal are targeting replacements like Rafael Leão or Jamie Gittens, though wage concerns for standout names such as Benjamin Sesko remain a hurdle.
