Bayern Munich Knock Out Real Madrid To Seal UEFA Champions League Semi-Final Spot

Bayern Munich Knock Out Real Madrid To Seal UEFA Champions League Semi-Final Spot

Bayern Munich have set up a UEFA Champions League semi-final clash with defending champions Paris Saint-Germain after winning a thrilling seven-goal battle against Real Madrid. The match was full of action in the first half, with five goals scored in a fast and intense spell, before things slowed down after the break as both teams became more cautious.

It looked like the game was turning in Los Blancos’s favor, but Real Madrid were reduced to 10 men when substitute Eduardo Camavinga was sent off for a second yellow card in the closing minutes after a foul on Harry Kane.

With just a minute left, Luis Diaz scored the winner, his 24th goal of the season. He combined with Jamal Musiala before curling a shot into the top corner, with a slight deflection helping it in.

Real Madrid had taken the lead three times after losing the first leg 2-1, with Arda Guler scoring twice, but Harry Kane also reached his 50th goal of the season as Bayern kept replying every time to keep the Los Blancos at bay.

Bayern finally sealed the win in stoppage time when Michael Olise scored a fourth goal, wrapping up a 4-3 win on the night and a 6-4 result on aggregate.

It has been six years since Bayern Munich last won the UEFA Champions League, but this result, along with their strong league form, will give them confidence that they can win the trophy for a seventh time.

They are still fighting for three trophies this season and could win their first one this weekend against Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, where they currently lead the table by 12 points with five games remaining. The latest win against UEFA favorites Real Madrid will boost their confidence going into the clash with PSG. However, it won’t be an easy task, as the French side have also reached the semi-finals after a strong performance against Liverpool.
