FC Barcelona defeated Levante by a dominating scoreline of 3-0 to take top position in the La Liga points table. A combined performance by Marc Bernal, Frenkie de Jon and Fermin Lopez gave the Catalan giants a convincing victory after they faced an embarrassing defeat against Girona in the last La Liga clash.
Both Marc Bernal and Frenkie de Jong were sensational in the first half, as they scored back-to-back goals to give Barcelona an edge in the match. After the break, Fermin Lopez came up with a perfect drive to seal a 3-0 victory for Barcelona.
The coach of FC Barcelona, Hansi Flick, looked satisfied with his team’s performance after the match. He said the team responded well after recent consecutive defeats, however, they cannot take their foot off the gas, as they still have a long way to go in the tournament.
“It was a really bad moment for us, but in the end today we gave a good response. It’s important now to be on top of the table, but in the end, there’s a long way to go.” said Hansi Flick while talking to the reporters.
The performance of Marc Bernal was impressive, as he scored his second goal for the club after returning from a long-term knee injury. Similarly, the performance of De Jong was also great, as his strike allowed FC Barcelona to take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half.
The coach of Barcelona, Hansi Flick, applauded De Jong’s brilliance, saying he showcased his strength perfectly in today’s match.
