Bangladesh Set for Multi-Format Tour of Zimbabwe in June and July
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) confirmed on Friday that Bangladesh will tour the country for a full series featuring one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is.
The Bangladesh cricket team will visit Zimbabwe for the first time since 2022. The tour will begin with a one-off Test match at Harare Sports Club from June 28 to July 2. The same venue will also host the three ODI matches, which are scheduled for July 6, 9 and 11.
After that, the action will move to Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo, where the three T20Is will be played on July 15, 17, and 19.
This series will also be Zimbabwe’s first home assignment of the year. It comes on the back of their strong showing at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, where they reached the Super Eight stage for the first time after beating Australia and co-host Sri Lanka.
Speaking about the upcoming tour, Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni said the series against Bangladesh is hugely important, as it will bring top-level international cricket back to the country.
"We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh's tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats," said Zimbabwe Cricket Managing Director Givemore Makoni.
"This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team's outstanding performances at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup earlier this year.” added Givemore Makoni.
He further added that fans are now looking to rally behind the team in the upcoming series which is expected to be a tough contest.
"Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo." said Givemore Makoni.
