Bangladesh Bowl First as Little and Adair Return for Ireland in Series Opener

Bangladesh Bowl First as Little and Adair Return for Ireland in Series Opener

Bangladesh won the toss at the start of this T20I match in Chattogram. Captain Litton Das decided to field first against Ireland. The home team put together a setup with five bowlers. They wanted to get some early breakthroughs and hold things steady in the middle part of the innings.

Ireland brought in their top order with the Tector brothers, Tim and Harry. Paul Stirling led them as captain. The bowling attack strengthened with the return of Mark Adair and Josh Little. Those two should lead the way in the attack.

Bangladesh went with a top four that left out Mahidul Islam. He got called up specifically for that spot. Litton had recently criticised the selectors for dropping Shamim Hossain, and the team now looks to manage balance with Tanzim Hasan likely to walk in at No. 7.

Bangladesh XI:

1 Tanzid Hasan, 2 Parvez Hossain Emon, 3 Saif Hassan, 4 Litton Das (capt, wk), 5 Towhid Hridoy, 6 Jaker Ali, 7 Tanzim Hasan Sakib, 8 Rishad Hossain, 9 Nasum Ahmed, 10 Mustafizur Rahman, 11 Shoriful Islam
