The Lahore Whites squad has received a serious lift ahead of the National T20 Cup 2026, with Babar Azam and Naseem Shah officially joining the team for the domestic tournament starting March 7 in Peshawar.
Both players were missing when squads were first announced, which raised eyebrows across the domestic circuit. Their late arrival changes the picture instantly. Babar brings class at the top. Naseem delivers pace and bite with the new ball. Together, they reshape the balance of the Lahore Whites squad.
Aamir Jamal will lead the side during the National T20 Cup 2026, guiding a group that now carries both experience and fresh energy. The lineup has also welcomed Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman, giving the bowling options more depth.
The entire National T20 Cup 2026 will unfold at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar from March 7 to March 18. 10 regional outfits are set to battle through 23 matches, creating a tight schedule and little room for slow starts.
Ten regional teams headline the event: Abbottabad, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Karachi Whites, Karachi Blues, Lahore Blues, Lahore Whites, Multan and Sialkot.
The Lahore Whites squad sits in Group A alongside Peshawar, Faisalabad, Karachi Whites and Bahawalpur. Group B includes defending champions Lahore Blues with Sialkot, Multan, Abbottabad and Karachi Blues.
Two games will be staged daily during the group stage. The first begins at 4:15 PM, while the night contest follows at 9:15 PM. The final is scheduled for March 18 under lights.
