Australia will travel to Bangladesh in June 2026 for a six-match white-ball series, marking their first ODI assignment in the country in over a decade. The tour includes three One-Day Internationals in Dhaka followed by three T20 Internationals in Chattogram.
The ODI leg will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on June 9, 11 and 14. This will be Australia’s first bilateral 50-over series in Bangladesh since 2011, when they completed a clean sweep in Dhaka.
Following the ODIs, the series will shift to Chattogram for the T20Is, scheduled for June 17, 19 and 21 at the Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium. The matches will mark Australia’s return to the format in Bangladesh after their 2021 tour, where they were defeated in a five-match series.
A new broadcast agreement has been put in place for the upcoming tour, ensuring wider coverage for viewers. The previous tour in 2021 had faced limited availability due to rights issues.
Australia have also outlined preparations ahead of the tour, including training camps for available white-ball players in Brisbane during May. Players involved in overseas leagues are not expected to take part in these sessions.
The Australia tour of Bangladesh 2026 is part of the team’s build-up to future international commitments in the ODI format. Further fixtures are planned later in the year, including overseas tours and a home series.
Bangladesh are also scheduled to visit Australia for a two-Test series later in the calendar, their first red-ball tour of the country in more than two decades.
