This packed schedule will keep fans hooked through every week. Let’s see who will top the Asia Cup points table 2025.
The Asia Cup started in 1984 and has been one of the longest-running cricket events.
Most editions of the Asia Cup were played in the ODI format. India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan have been the leading teams. India is the most successful side with eight titles.
The Asia Cup T20 format has been played only twice. India won the first T20 edition in 2016 in Bangladesh. Sri Lanka won the second T20 Asia Cup edition in 2022 in the UAE by beating Pakistan in the final.
This shows how the formats bring variety and new winners each time.

Fans expected Nepal to feature this year. They had been improving steadily. In the 2024 ACC Men’s Premier Cup, Nepal topped their group but could not make the cut. They lost to the UAE in the semi-final and then went down to Hong Kong in the third-place playoff. It was a last-over thriller but Hong Kong claimed the Asia Cup spot. Nepal will have to wait for another chance.
