Arshad Nadeem Storms Into Athletics Championship Final

Arshad Nadeem Storms Into Athletics Championship Final

Pakistan’s leading Javelin star Arshad Nadeem has booked a confirmed spot in the finals of the Athletics Championship. He came back to his best with a huge 85.25m Javelin throw, showcasing once again why he is still the country’s top contender to get a medal in the finals.

Arshad Nadeem finished fifth on the list of Javelin finalists. The prodigy from Grenada, Anderson Peters is currently sitting at the top of the list. Followed by him, Julian Weber (Germany) and Julius Yego (Kenya) have secured the second and third positions.

The qualification of Arshad Nadeem into the finals was not an easy one. He made the mark in his third throw, which also proved his best attempt of the current season. The Javelin star started his season with a very low 74.17m throw. However, Arshad quickly got his mojo back, as he secured the qualification with a big 85.25m Javelin throw on the third attempt.

In contrast, the Indian Javelin pride, Neeraj Chopra, finished at 6th position, just below Arshad. He also made a good 84.85m throw in his first attempt. It is known that both of these athletes are good friends. However, given the current hot political scenario prevailing between India and Pakistan, fans could expect a tough contest between these two ace Javelin athletes in the final.

Talking about the numbers, a total of 37 athletes were competing in the qualification round. Due to the tough international benchmark, only 12 of them made it to the final. Arshad Nadeem is currently sitting at 5th, but he will be hoping to secure the 1st position in the all-important Athletics Championship final.
