Pakistan Champions head coach Arshad Khan has expressed full confidence in a “balanced” squad as the franchise begins its title pursuit in the second World Championship of Legends (WCL 2025) this July.

Arriving in Birmingham ahead of the July 18 opener against England Champions, Arshad highlighted the squad’s combination of experience and fresh talent. “On paper, the Pakistan team is very much balanced and can win the title,” he said, praising the mix of seasoned legends and strategic newcomers. He emphasised that the inclusion of names like Sarfaraz Ahmed and Rumman Raees adds depth to both batting and bowling for the tournament’s varied conditions.

The squad includes veterans Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Shahid Afridi and Sarfaraz, alongside impactful medium-pacer Raees and middle-order batter Umar Amin. A notable addition this week is all-rounder Imad Wasim—described as a “power‑packed addition”—bringing recent European T20 experience to the lineup. Coach Arshad believes Wasim’s dual role will provide the versatility needed in pressure scenarios.

The presence of both attacking batsmen and bowling depth underlines Arshad’s message: this isn’t just a nostalgia-driven squad, but a meticulously crafted side aiming for the WCL crown.

Closing the article, Pakistan Champions have their opening match against England Champions on July 18, followed by a high-stakes clash with India Champions on July 20—already being tagged as a WCL highlight.
