Arsenal Extend Premier League Lead With Comfortable Win Over Fulham

Arsenal moved six points clear at the top of the Premier League table after beating Fulham comfortably at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. Viktor Gyokeres scored twice, while Bukayo Saka also found the net to help the Gunners secure the win.

Like their match against Newcastle last weekend, Arsenal scored early once again. But this time, Mikel Arteta’s side kept attacking after taking the lead and stayed in control throughout the game.

Gyokeres opened the scoring after a great move by Saka. The England winger beat Raul Jimenez on the right side and sent a low cross into the box, where Gyokeres finished from close range.

The Swedish striker, who has faced criticism since joining from Sporting CP this season, now has 20 goals in all competitions for Arsenal.

Arsenal thought they had scored a second goal around the 30-minute mark, but Riccardo Calafiori was ruled offside before heading the ball into the net.

The home side did make it 2-0 before half-time. This time, Gyokeres provided the assist and Saka finished the move with a powerful shot past Bernd Leno. The goal marked Saka’s 150th goal involvement for Arsenal in all competitions, with 80 goals and 70 assists.

Arsenal added another goal before the break, with Gyokeres heading home his second of the match after a fine cross from Leandro Trossard.

With the game already under control, Arsenal slowed things down in the second half and managed the match comfortably. Fulham had more shots after the break, but they never really looked close to making a comeback.
