Argentina Copa America Squad 2024

Argentina Copa America Squad 2024

The reigning champions and 2022 FIFA World Cup winners Argentina Copa America squad 2024 is set to lift another trophy.

Argentina will fight to defend their past title and Lionel Scaloni will be looking to end things on a high note by overseeing his team's defense of the crown they won in 2021 and securing a third-successive tournament victory.

Lionel Messi, meanwhile, will obviously be at the forefront yet again in what is likely his final Copa America. The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner is set to be joined by the majority of the men who helped him finally get over the line on the global stage in Qatar, too.

La Albiceleste announced a 29-man preliminary squad on 20th May.

Let’s take a look at Lionel Scaloni’s team for Copa America 2024.

Argentina’s Copa America history

Copa America is the oldest international football competition in the world. The Argentina national football team has won the tournament 15 times, tying with Uruguay for the most titles. Their first victory came in 1921, and their most recent triumph was in 2021.

Argentina are the only team to win the title three consecutive times (1945–1947). This year they will look to make another record by becoming the only team to score three consecutive Copa America/World Cup tournament wins.
