Al-Nassr Stun Al-Ittefaq With Comeback Win in Saudi Pro League 2026

Al-Nassr Stun Al-Ittefaq With Comeback Win in Saudi Pro League 2026

Al-Nassr produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Al-Ettifaq 3-2 in the Saudi Pro League, overcoming a two-goal deficit and playing most of the match with 10 men. The victory became even more impressive as Al-Nassr had to deal with an early red card and went into halftime two goals behind.

The match took a difficult turn for Al-Nassr in the 12th minute when goalkeeper Bento was sent off. His dismissal left the visitors with a numerical disadvantage for almost the entire game and forced them to make an early change. Despite being down to 10 players, Al-Nassr tried to stay in the contest, but Al-Ettifaq took control as the first half progressed.

Al-Ettifaq eventually broke the deadlock in the 31st minute through Ondrej Duda. The midfielder found the net to put the home side 1-0 ahead and increase the pressure on Al-Nassr. The visitors struggled to respond before halftime, and Al-Ettifaq doubled their advantage shortly before the break when Alvaro Medran scored in stoppage time.

With Al-Ettifaq leading 2-0 at halftime and Al-Nassr down to 10 men, the game appeared to be firmly in the home side's control. However, Al-Nassr returned for the second half with a completely different approach and began pushing for a way back into the match.

Their efforts finally paid off in the 74th minute when Sadio Mane scored to reduce the deficit to 2-1. The goal gave Al-Nassr renewed confidence and changed the momentum of the contest. Just a few minutes later, Abdullah Al-Amri completed the comeback by scoring the equalizer in the 77th minute.

Al-Nassr continued to attack despite having one fewer player, while Al-Ettifaq struggled to protect its lead. The visitors' persistence was rewarded again deep into stoppage time when Mane found the net for the second time. His 90th-minute strike completed an incredible turnaround and gave Al-Nassr a 3-2 lead.

Al-Ettifaq could not find another response before the final whistle, allowing Al-Nassr to secure all three points. The result was a major boost for Al-Nassr, who showed considerable character to come back from two goals down while playing with 10 men.

The dramatic win also underlined Al-Nassr's strong start to the Saudi Pro League campaign. The team remained unbeaten after three matches and continued its push at the top of the standings.
