Nesyri Brace Help Al-Ittihad Thump Al-Faisaly in Saudi Pro League 2026

Al-Ittihad secured a convincing victory over Al-Faisaly in the latest Saudi Pro League clash. The result gave Al-Ittihad another important three points as they continued their campaign at the top end of the league standings.

Steven Bergwijn opened the scoring for Al-Ittihad in the 28th minute, giving his side an early advantage. The Dutch forward found the breakthrough before Al-Faisaly could settle into the game, putting the visitors in a good position heading into the latter stages of the first half.

Al-Ittihad then extended their lead through Youssef En-Nesyri. The striker found the back of the net in the 43rd minute, giving Al-Ittihad a two-goal cushion before the interval. En-Nesyri’s finish capped a strong first-half showing from the visitors, who had managed to make their chances count.

The second half saw Al-Ittihad continue to hold the advantage as they looked to put the result beyond doubt. En-Nesyri struck again in the 59th minute to complete his brace and give his team a comfortable three-goal lead.

With Al-Ittihad three goals ahead, Al-Faisaly faced a difficult task to get back into the contest. The home side continued to push for a response, but they were unable to reduce the deficit until late in the match.

Theo Bongonda finally gave Al-Faisaly something to celebrate when he scored in the 87th minute. His late goal reduced the gap to two, but there was not enough time left for Al-Faisaly to mount a serious comeback.

Al-Ittihad ultimately held on to complete a 3-1 victory and take all three points. Their performance was built around an effective attacking display, with Bergwijn and En-Nesyri making the difference in front of goal.

En-Nesyri was particularly important to the result, with his two goals helping Al-Ittihad establish a commanding advantage before Al-Faisaly managed to respond. Bergwijn also played a key role by breaking the deadlock in the first half.

For Al-Faisaly, Bongonda’s late effort provided some consolation, but the team could not overcome the damage done during the opening 59 minutes. Al-Ittihad’s three goals had already put the result largely beyond reach by the time Al-Faisaly found their first goal.

The victory further strengthens Al-Ittihad’s position in the Saudi Pro League 2026 campaign, while Al-Faisaly will have to look for a better result in their next outing.
