Ahmed Shehzad Shares Thoughts as Sahibzada Farhan Matches His Elusive T20 World Cup Record

Sahibzada Farhan created history in the recent T20 World Cup clash against Namibia, as he became the second Pakistani batter in history to score a century in the ICC T20 World Cup. The first batter who reached this milestone was Ahmed Shehzad, who scored a brilliant hundred against Bangladesh in the 2014 edition of the mega event.

Congratulating Sahibzada Farhan on achieving this milestone, Ahmed Shehzad took to X and praised the brilliance of the rising Pakistan batter himself. He applauded Farhan by saying that the batter has proved his worth to the world by performing at the biggest stage.

Sahibzada Farhan played a pivotal role for Pakistan in winning the crucial group-stage match against Namibia. His superlative hundred allowed Pakistan to post a big total of 199, which proved too big to chase for Namibia in the second innings. Besides scoring the century, Sahibzada Farhan has now become the leading run-scorer in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 by amassing 220 runs in four matches so far.
