Andre Fletcher lit up the Shaikh Zayed Cricket Stadium and carried Aspin Stallions to a strong win in the eighth match of the Abu Dhabi T10. The chase looked simple on paper. Still, someone had to take charge. Fletcher did that from the very first swing.
He walked in with intent. One ball, then another. Suddenly, sixes kept flying into the stands. He mixed brute force with calm hands, and his quickfire 56 changed the chase completely. Rahmanullah Gurbaz joined the fun for a short burst. Twenty-three runs off six balls. Three clean hits over the rope. A single boundary to top it off. That short cameo pushed Stallions to 119 for 6 in ten overs.
Ajman Titans started the night with confidence. Aneurin Donald and Alex Hales opened with a 29-run stand inside three overs, and for a moment, it felt like they might cruise. But the match flipped in one over. Zohair Iqbal took two wickets in two balls and broke the partnership. Titans never recovered. Hales made 31 from 16. Donald added 14 from six. After that, their middle order collapsed under pressure. Iqbal kept attacking and finished with three wickets. Titans crawled to 104 for 8 and fell short by 15 runs.
UAE Bulls dominated Vista Riders and chased 75 in 5.3 overs. Tom Moores struck 39 off 16, while Muhammad Rohid earned player of the match. Andrew Tye took the only wicket for Riders, but it made no difference to the result.
Deccan Gladiators edged out Royal Champs in the closest game of the day. David Wiese powered the chase with 59 not out off 21 balls, hitting seven sixes and lifting the run rate whenever it dipped.
Royal Champs had posted 133 for 3 with contributions from Aaron Jones, who made 28 off 13, and Niroshan Dickwella, who hit 33 off 17. Gladiators reached the target with 4 balls to spare to secure a narrow win.
Quetta Qavalry rose to the top of the points table with two wins from two games. The standings changed fast, and the tournament now looks wide open. The Abu Dhabi T10 keeps throwing surprises, and fans are getting their share of noise, drama, and pure hitting every single night.
