Abbas Afridi says his focus is on maintaining consistent performances for Karachi Kings as the side prepares for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League. The fast bowler is aiming to play a major role in the team’s campaign and help the franchise compete for the title.
Speaking before Karachi Kings’ opening fixture against Quetta Gladiators, Abbas said he wants to build on his performances from the previous season and contribute regularly with the ball.
“My goal for PSL 11 is simple: to perform the way I did last season and deliver consistent performances for my team,” Abbas said.
Abbas was among the leading bowlers for Karachi Kings last season when the team reached the playoffs under captain David Warner. In his first season with the franchise, the right-arm pacer took 17 wickets in 11 matches at an average of 23.52.
He said the team environment remains positive and the squad is focused on competing strongly throughout the tournament.
“The team’s morale is high. We will try to give our best performances and aim to win the PSL title this season,” he added.
Abbas said his priority remains his bowling performances and contributing to team victories. He also expressed confidence in Karachi Kings’ performances at their home venue, stating the conditions suit the team.
“My personal goal is to help Karachi Kings win the title with my bowling,” he concluded.
