Quetta Qavalry looked a touch flat during the warm-up, almost too casual for a team chasing their second win in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. And then Abbas Afridi marked his run-up. One ball. Then another. Suddenly, the noise around the Zayed Stadium changed, and you could tell something was brewing.

Afridi’s first over cut straight through Ajman Titans. A wicket that left the batter staring at the turf as if it had betrayed him. By the time his third strike landed, Ajman were wobbling at 41 for 5, the kind of score that makes dressing rooms go quiet.

Moeen Ali tried to pull them out of the mess on his own. And what a swing he gave it. His 59 off 21 wasn’t just quick, it was defiant. Six towering hits, four crisp boundaries. Every time he connected, gasps echoed around the ground. But even that brave knock couldn’t hide the cracks. Titans crawled to 107 for 7, which looked competitive for a moment.

Quetta’s chase wasn’t smooth. Evin Lewis blinked, and he was gone. Andries Gous followed a ball later. Muhammad Waseem cracked 26 off nine, giving the crowd a jolt, before he miscued one that left him shaking his head. Then, the scoreboard felt tighter than it should have.

But Liam Livingstone walked in like he had all the time in the world. Three clean sixes and calm body language. A cheeky grin after one of the hits sailed deep into the night. Khawaja Nafay joined him, smashing two sixes and a pair of boundaries that pushed the chase beyond doubt. Their partnership didn’t just steady things. It shut the door completely. Titans never got it open again.

Elsewhere, Dwaine Pretorius powered Vista Riders to a narrow nine-run win, and Shahnawaz Dahani stole the show in another fixture with a nervy final over that felt almost cinematic. Few expected him to defend eight. Yet he did. And he walked off with that “I told you so” smile bowlers rarely get to wear.
