Left-arm spinner Radha Yadav has declared that the Indian women’s team will “dominate” the game as they celebrate their historic T20I series win over England—their first series triumph on English soil (ICC).

India clinched an unassailable 3–1 lead in the five-match series after defeating England by a comfortable margin at Old Trafford. Radha was instrumental, claiming two wickets and earning Player of the Match honours as England were restricted to 126/7—a landmark win for India’s tour.

Speaking after the match, Radha emphasised that the mindset and unity of the current squad mark a significant shift. She said: “The belief and the dedication this time is really different … this is the different team and we are going to dominate no matter what.”

Aged 25 and a women’s T20 World Cup veteran, Radha believes this tour could herald a new era for Indian women's cricket.

The catch Radha took, snapping up a sharp chance in mid–innings, symbolised India’s growing assertiveness. The ICC reflected on her performance, tweeting: “A strong performance with the ball sets up an India victory and series honours over England in Manchester.”

Meanwhile, England captain Charlotte Edwards struck an optimistic tone despite the defeat, remarking on Sky Sports: “We are a team on a journey … soon you will see an improved team in ODI cricket”

What’s next

  • T20I Finale: The fifth and final T20I is scheduled for July 12 in Birmingham, where India can seal their first-ever series victory in England.

  • Looking ahead: Radha’s forecast of dominance sets expectations high as the team prepares for the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup, where form and momentum from this tour will be critical.

  • India’s growth: This result has sparked conversations around depth and consistency in Indian women’s cricket—will this squad maintain the mindset needed to dominate bigger stages?

Radha’s bold statement isn’t just post-match bravado—it captures a team finding its identity, confidence, and potential to lead the global game. With one match left in England and the Women’s T20 World Cup on the horizon, India’s rise may indeed be beginning.
