Former South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock has given his thoughts on the all-time left-handers XI, honoring cricketing legends across eras. Notably, two Pakistani players have made the list: Wasim Akram and Mohammad Amir.

De Kock opened the batting alongside Australia’s explosive Matthew Hayden. The Sri Lankan duo, Sanath Jayasuriya and Kumar Sangakkara followed at Nos. 3 and 4. The middle order featured Michael Hussey and India’s all‑round maestro, Ravindra Jadeja.

Wasim Akram gained the 7th position and rightfully so. Being the second‑highest wicket‑taker in ODI history with 502 wickets and an impressive 414 Test scalps, he was destined to be a part of the list

Mohammad Amir was chosen among the elite left‑arm pacers. Backed by a mix of swing and accuracy, Amir completed de Kock’s pace lineup alongside Mitchell Johnson (Australia) and Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka)

Sri Lanka’s Rangana Herath was the lone specialist spinner in the XI, rounding off a balanced international bowling attack.

De Kock’s selection is a nod to the enduring impact of Pakistan’s left-arm pace legacy, framing Akram’s and Amir’s contributions within the broader tapestry of world cricket.
