The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Women's World Cup 2025 Team of the Tournament on Tuesday. Sidra Nawaz, a Pakistani wicketkeeper, was selected as the only Pakistani on a team featuring global cricket talent.
It was composed of many Indian and South African players, with the focus on those who demonstrated outstanding performances during the Women's World Cup 2025.
Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma were also listed in the XI. Rodrigues secured her place with a brilliant 127 against Australia in the semi-final, and Deepti Sharma, the Player of the Tournament, was the first woman to score more than 200 and take more than 15 wickets in a single edition. Mandhana followed closely as the second-highest run-scorer, with consistent knocks, including a brilliant century against New Zealand.
South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt was chosen to lead the side after an outstanding tournament with the bat. She topped the charts with 571 runs at an average of 71.37, setting a new milestone for the most runs scored in a single Women’s World Cup.
From Australia, Annabel Sutherland, Ash Gardner, and Alana King won their spots, and Sophie Ecclestone of England was awarded due to her outstanding bowling performance. Nat Sciver-Brunt was selected as the 12th player.
Amid Pakistan's generally poor performance, Nawaz stood out for her consistency and quick reflexes behind the stumps. This fabulous performance won her the only spot outside the semi-finalist teams in this XI.
