Rohit Sharma Surges to No. 2, Ousting Babar Azam

In today’s ICC update, Rohit Sharma has leapfrogged Babar Azam to claim the No. 2 spot in the ODI batting rankings, despite not playing any international match since March. He is now behind Shubman Gill, who continues to hold the first position.
Babar Azam, who struggled in Pakistan’s recent ODI series against the West Indies—managing just 56 runs—has slipped to third place, now sitting roughly five points behind Rohit with 751 compared to Rohit’s 756 rating. Interestingly, Rohit Sharma's return to the second position in the ICC rankings are accompanied by rumors of retirement, adding to the intrigue around his ranking climb.
