PCB reschedules women’s trials in Karachi due to heavy rain

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rescheduled the women’s U19 and Emerging talent‑hunt trials in Karachi to Tuesday, 2 September 2025, after persistent rain made the original date unworkable. The venue remains the Hanif Mohammad High‑Performance Centre. The rest of the nationwide schedule is unchanged. PCB press release confirmed the change on 20 August 2025.
The Karachi leg was initially set for Thursday, 21 August, kicking off a two‑week talent hunt across multiple cities. PCB said the decision to push the Karachi trials back was taken due to continued bad weather.
Players born on or after 1 September 2006 can attend U19 trials, while Emerging trials have no cut‑off date. Participants must bring a B‑form, CNIC or NADRA birth certificate for age verification.
The talent hunt feeds directly into Pakistan’s women’s U19 programme, with a squad to be assembled for a Bangladesh tour later this year, making the Karachi reschedule important for player access and fair assessment.
