PCB Announces Women’s Domestic Contracts for 2025–26

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded domestic contracts to 65 women cricketers for the 2025–26 season. This is the third year in a row that players are receiving structured retainers. The move shows the PCB’s commitment to growing the game at senior and grassroots levels. For the first time, the contracts are split into two tiers: Gold and Silver. This system rewards proven performers and also supports young talent with potential.
Two-Tier Structure
The contracts will run from July 2025 to June 2026, covering several domestic and U19 tournaments during this period.
- Gold Category: 20 players
- Silver Category: 45 players
Monthly retainers are based on past performances in national events and the potential shown by youngsters in emerging tournaments. Players outside this list can still earn contracts if they perform well in regional events or academy camps.
Selection Process
The Women’s National Selection Committee, led by Asad Shafiq and Batool Fatima, selected the 65 players. They stressed the need to expand the domestic pool so Pakistan can build depth and quality for future competitions.
Gold Contracts – Proven Stars and Leaders
The Gold list has experienced players and rising talents. Lahore leads this category, showing its strong domestic setup. Players from Quetta, Chitral, and Charsadda also feature, proving the growing reach of women’s cricket in Pakistan.
