Pakistan Women won the toss and chose to bat first in the 2nd T20I against Zimbabwe Women in the ongoing three‑match T20 international series at the National Stadium in Karachi.
Having taken a commanding 1‑0 lead in the series after a dominant 153‑run victory in the opening T20I, Pakistan Women looked to continue their unbeaten home form against Zimbabwe. In the first game, Pakistan Women posted a huge total of 237/5, highlighted by Ayesha Zafar’s unbeaten century, before bowling Zimbabwe Women out for 84 runs.
With the toss decision, captain Fatima Sana opted to bat first under Karachi lights, aiming to set another imposing total and put Zimbabwe Women on the back foot once again.
This second clash formed part of Zimbabwe Women’s maiden tour of Pakistan, which featured three T20I matches as part of Pakistan’s preparations ahead of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The match was scheduled as a day‑night fixture, starting in the evening with Pakistan Women’s batters hoping to build on their strong performance from the opening match and extend their series lead.
Both teams named competitive XIs, and the hosts were looking to wrap up the series early. Pakistan Women’s batting depth and recent form made them strong favourites once again as Zimbabwe Women aimed to respond after a difficult first match.
