KARACHI: Zimbabwe Women won the toss and elected to bat first in the third and final ODI against Pakistan Women at the National Stadium in Karachi.
After struggling to chase massive totals of 330 and 343 in the first two ODIs, the "Lady Chevrons" are hoping that setting a target will allow them to play with more freedom and put the high-flying Pakistani side under scoreboard pressure for the first time in the series.
Pakistan, captained by Fatima Sana, entered the match with a 2-0 lead and the goal of a clean sweep. Despite being asked to bowl first, the Pakistani bowling attack remains confident.
The hosts have made it clear they intend to finish the series unbeaten, maintaining their dominance in the ICC Women’s Championship.
Zimbabwe has made one change to their lineup, bringing in Kudzai Chigora for Michelle Mavunga. As the final ODI of this historic tour gets underway, the visitors are leaning on their top performers like Beloved Biza and Kelis Ndhlovu to build a competitive total on a Karachi pitch that has proven to be a batter's paradise throughout the week.
