Neymar Sends Final World Cup Message to Carlo Ancelotti

Neymar Sends Final World Cup Message to Carlo Ancelotti

Brazil’s squad reveal carries tension, and Neymar is right at the centre of it.

The Santos forward spoke after Sunday’s painful 3-0 defeat against Coritiba, but the scoreline barely mattered once cameras surrounded him. Every question pointed toward one thing: his World Cup future. And Neymar did not dodge it.

“I feel great physically,” he said. “I’m improving every match.”

That line alone sparked fresh noise around the Brazil World Cup 2026 build-up. Few saw this comeback path opening so quickly after the injuries that kept him away from the national team since 2023. The knee operation wiped out a year of football and, honestly, there were moments many believed he would never fully recover.

Yet Neymar sounded calm as he kept working hard. You could hear it in his voice.

Neymar fires back before Ancelotti decision

He admitted the recovery process hurt mentally as much as physically. The criticism around his fitness clearly stayed with him.

“It’s been years of hard work and also a lot of nonsense being said,” Neymar explained. “People talked without knowing anything.”

The 34-year-old insisted he worked quietly away from the spotlight while dealing with constant speculation surrounding his condition. To be fair, the pressure around the Neymar World Cup squad debate has only intensified since Carlo Ancelotti took charge.

Brazil’s new manager already made his position clear. Neymar must prove he is fully fit and performing consistently if he wants a place in the final 26-man squad.

Sunday’s game even produced a strange moment when Neymar angrily protested after being incorrectly substituted.

Now the focus shifts completely toward Monday’s announcement.

Brazil enter the tournament chasing a sixth world title, and expectations remain massive. They face Morocco, Haiti and Scotland in Group C during the North America event running from June 11 to July 19.

For Neymar, everything now rests in Ancelotti’s hands. The wait feels enormous for Neymar and his fans.
