Imam-ul-Haq delivered an amazing performance of 105 runs for 97 balls in the semi-final clash, his fourth century in just eight innings during the tournament. This inning kept him atop the tournament batting charts with 688 runs at an average of 98.28.

Hampshire set a challenging 304/6 in their full 50 overs, headed with an amazing inning of 142 off 116 from Liam Dawson and a late charge from Scott Currie, who added 61 not out off 40.

Rain led to a revised target of 254 in 41 overs for Yorkshire via DLS. They looked set at 171/3 but lost momentum—Imam was even run out during the collapse—and eventually ended at 235/8, falling short by 18 runs.

Imam’s sublime century was a highlight in a tournament where he consistently dominated. But cricket is a team game—Yorkshire’s middle-over setbacks and the rain-shortened mechanics ultimately saw their campaign end, despite their star opener's brilliance.
