The Australia Champions have revealed a powerhouse squad for the World Championship of Legends (WCL) 2025, featuring some of the brightest names in modern Australian cricket. Led again by pace legend Brett Lee, this Season 2 roster blends explosive batting, seasoned pace, and clever spin strategy.

Brett Lee (c), Shaun Marsh, Chris Lynn, Moises Henriques, Ben Cutting, D’Arcy Short, Nathan Coulter‑Nile, Peter Siddle, Steve O’Keefe, Ben Dunk, Callum Ferguson, Dan Christian, Rob Quiney, John Hastings.

  • Pace firepower: With Lee, Coulter‑Nile, Siddle and Hastings, they offer a lethal frontline bowling attack.
     
  • Batting depth: Marsh and Ferguson provide composure, while Lynn, Dunk, Short, and Christian bring power for quick runs.
     
  • Spin balance: O’Keefe’s control adds tactical depth in middle overs.
     

WCL organisers described this as a deliberate mix of “veteran pace, explosive batting and crafty spin” aimed at delivering thriller‑packed matches throughout the tournament.

The WCL Season 2 runs 18 July – 2 August across UK venues including Edgbaston, Northampton, Headingley, and Grace Road.

Australia Champions begin their campaign on 19 July at Edgbaston, followed by high‑profile clashes:

  • vs West Indies (23 July, Northampton)
     
  • vs South Africa (27 July, Leeds)
     
  • vs Pakistan (29 July, Leicestershire)
     
  • vs India (26 July, Leeds)

According to MyKhel, Brett Lee emphasised the squad’s intent:  “We’re coming with intent – to entertain and dominate.” WCL CEO Harshit Tomar commented: “Australia Champions are set to be one of the most formidable teams this season.”

Fans have high hopes, expecting dynamic T20 performances and electric matchups against other legend‑lined sides.

Australia Champions’ blend of iconic pace, power hitters, and smart spinners makes them a top contender as WCL Season 2 gets underway. With Brett Lee steering the ship and flashpoints scheduled against every other Champion, cricket lovers are in for a memorable ride.
