"No NOC extension for Pakistan cricketers" - says PCB

"No NOC extension for Pakistan cricketers" - says PCB

PCB is firm in its stance to provide a NOC to T20 leagues. Following requests from many players and athletes now participating in various T20 competitions, the PCB has remained firm in its position.

The decision by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to withhold No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from national cricket players has implications for their ability to compete in current international tournaments such as the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 and the UAE ILT20.

Players who are actively participating in these T20 competitions have appealed, but the PCB has stuck to its beliefs.

According to PCB sources, a lot of cricket players asked for NOC extensions because they wanted to take advantage of the chances these well known competitions offered. But after a thorough analysis, the board opted against extending the NOC issuance informing participants that their participation will be restricted until February 7.

Players on the national squad, both past and present, are not happy with this denial. Even individuals who take part in ongoing competitions but do not actively represent Pakistan in international matches have received calls back.
