Jordan Training Camp for Pakistan Football Team Postponed Due to PFF's Financial Issues

The Pakistani football team's training camp has been postponed because of financial difficulties faced by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The team is scheduled to play Jordan, the Asian Cup finalists at Jinnah Stadium on March 21.

The training camp was originally scheduled for March 1st however sources say that because of the federation's budgetary limitations, the camp has been postponed.

A PFF source reaffirmed that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is responsible for installing the floodlights and that they are not in charge of doing so if they wish to improve the Pakistan football squad.

The PFF NC source additionally verified that the match's timing may be adjusted to take place in the evening following Iftaar timings during Ramadan provided the PSB fulfills its commitment to install floodlights.

The game is scheduled to take place on March 21 at 2:00 PM, which makes it difficult to draw a crowd in the afternoon during the holy month.

PFF And The Jinnah Stadium Problem

The PFF has previously noted that the Pakistan Sports Board's existing configuration has made it difficult to install floodlights and meet FIFA criteria for the stadium because of their poor coordination.

The PFF declared in late January that they were looking for other venues to host Jordan outside of Pakistan; however, they later stated in the final week of February that the game will take place at Jinnah Stadium without floodlights.

Pakistan will host the Asian Cup Finalists at home on March 21 at Jinnah Stadium, while on March 26 they will play the away leg. For the national squad to succeed against a team known as an Asian Giant, an early training camp will be essential.
