Sri Lanka Seal ODI Series After Rain Washes Out Third ODI at Kingston
Sri Lanka won the ODI series in West Indies after a long period of time, as heavy downpour washed out the third ODI at Kingston. Due to that, the game was abandoned without a ball being bowled, as both teams remained in the dugout since their arrival to the ground.
Losing the home series is certainly a setback for West Indies, as they were looking to win this one by delivering a strong performance. After losing the first ODI at Kingston, the Caribbean side looked determined to bounce back, however, consistent rain didn’t give them any chance in the second ODI.
Now, the same thing has repeated in the third fixture, as Kingston received heavy downpour since the start of the match time. Sri Lanka will certainly like this result, as it gave them a series victory in the Caribbean after a long time. They will now look to continue this momentum in the T20I series that is starting from June 12.
