The First Look Of Saba Qamar-starrer Hindi Medium Is Out

Even as the debate over screening Indian films in local cinema rages on, all eyes remain on Hindi films featuring Pakistani artists. While future collaborations remain on hold, some films featuring Pakistani actors (that were made before the unrest began on the borders) are gearing up for release.

Chief among them is Raees, which features Mahira Khan, opposite the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Another similarly casted project is the Irrfan Khan film, Hindi Medium, which features Pakistan’s very own Saba Qamar in the lead role. Now that the first look of the film is here, we can honestly say that they look good together.

On his part, actor Irrfan Khan took to his Twitter account to reveal the first look of the film, which sees him riding a rickshaw and Qamar sitting in the backseat. Sporting a desi avatar, Qamar looks beautiful. The portrayal is miles away from her rock-star ‘look’ in Lahore Se Aagey.

Directed by Saket Chaudhry, Hindi Medium is a rom-com about a couple, Khan and Qamar, from Chandni Chowk who is keen to become a part of Delhi’s elite circle. Irrfan Khan, known for his strong roles is taking a break from the intensity and is playing a light-hearted character in the film.

While the makers of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees received lot of flak for casting Pakistani artists, we hope that the situation gets better by March 2017 – when Hindi Medium releases.

Saya-e-Khuda-e-Zuljalal leaves a positive mark & you definitely shouldn’t miss out on!
The much-awaited movie for a simple reason, its different, its patriotic and it has a great star cast, and fortunately, the movie has succeeded in leaving a lasting impression. The demanding plot and the edgy, gritty and raw situations, perfectly recreate the 1965 war sequence.

Dobara Phir Se Review: the film we’ve been waiting for
Dobara Phir Sey is a strikingly different production for the Pakistani film industry – and a refreshingly good one too.
A simple story about the imperfections and complications of modern-day love and relationships, Dobara Phir Sey (DPS) is very, very different, as simple as the story may be, it is a powerful script, executed beautifully.

Wink-wink references to other Bollywood features add spice to this lukewarm masala.

Scattered amid the lukewarm masala of musical comedy, romantic melodrama, and unsynchronized passions that is “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” there are teasing indications that the movie might have been better had it been more meta. Writer-director Karan Johar occasionally enlivens the Continue reading “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Movie Review”
